In the build-up to one of Bristol's most anticipated live music events, Bristol Sounds, we are proud to work with Crosstown Concerts to support their grassroots marketing efforts. With the city buzzing in anticipation of the festival, we brought a boots-on-the-ground approach to amplify the event's reach: hand-to-hand flyer distribution across key locations in Bristol.

Bristol Sounds is known for transforming the Harbourside into a vibrant celebration of live music, drawing audiences from across the UK to enjoy performances from iconic and emerging artists.

This year, Bristol Sounds will be taking place from June 25th to 29th at the iconic Lloyds Amphitheatre. Kicking off the festivities, indie rock legends Supergrass will celebrate their 30th anniversary by performing their debut album. The following night, June 26, will see the return of Kaiser Chiefs, bringing their chart-topping hits back to Bristol after a decade. On Friday, June 27, Scottish pop-rock band Texas will take the stage and on Saturday, June 28, we will see headliner The Fratellis, supported by Cast, Sleeper, Goldie Lookin Chain, and Stereo MCs. Closing the event on Sunday, June 29, Olly Murs will deliver a finale filled with his signature feel-good hits.

With a lineup as exciting as ever, it was essential to ensure that word of the event reached every corner of the city, not just online, but in the real world too. We have worked with the Crosstown Concerts team to spread the word on our street-level billboards and we undertook some hand to hand flyer distribution.

Here's why hand-to-hand distribution still delivers results:

  • Tangible impact: A well-designed flyer is something people physically take with them, pin to a noticeboard, or share with a friend.

  • Direct engagement: It opens up conversations, allowing for immediate feedback and enthusiasm.

  • Hyperlocal reach: It targets audiences in the exact locations where they're most likely to attend the event.

  • Trust and authenticity: Receiving information from a real person can feel more trustworthy and personal than a digital ad.

As the crowds prepare to gather at the harbourside for Bristol Sounds, we're proud to have played a part in building the buzz.

If you're planning a campaign that needs to reach people where they live, work, and play, let's talk.
