Help Bristol's Homeless (HBH) was founded in 2017 by Jasper Thompson, who saw an increase in homelessness in Bristol and wanted to do something to combat it.
HBH offer a range of services to help those who need it, but their ethos is simple. Housing must come first. They acknowledge that there are many reasons and factors contributing to a person becoming homeless, and whilst they help to address these, their first priority is to provide safe and comfortable accommodation.
In addition to accommodation, HBH offers a range of support services to help people get back on their feet, from providing advice and guidance on a range of issues, including housing, health, employment, and addiction. As they like to say, ‘It's not a handout, but a hand up'.
One way HBH raises money and builds a strong community is through their community cafe. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it the perfect place to relax with friends and support an important cause. The cafe serves a range of food and drinks, and there is plenty of under-shelter seating with outdoor heating, so a chilly day is no issue!
Our design team was tasked with redesigning their menu to give it an updated feel. It features the brand's staple colours: black and red with yellow accents. Their logo has also been cleverly incorporated into the design to create a repeating pattern, used to divide up the menu, making it very user-friendly and on brand!
It's always great to contribute work for such an important initiative and continue to strengthen our relationship with Help Bristol's Homeless.
